In its June 19, 2015 meeting, the Utah State Board of Education: • Approved the appointments of Ogden School District Assessment Director Rich Nye as new Utah State Office of Education associate superintendent for data, assessment, and accountability, and Community Development Corporation of Utah Executive Director Darin Brush as executive director of the Utah State Office of Rehabilitation. • Approved the budgets for the Utah State Office of Education, Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind and the Utah State Office of Rehabilitation. • Mourned the loss of Utah State Board of Education Member C. Mark Openshaw who died, along with his wife and two of this children, in a plane crash in Missouri on June 12. The Board also announced that a scholarship fund named for C.
